The ERP for third-party logistics

Your WMS runs the floor. Momentum makes sure you get paid for it.

Momentum SCM is the ERP for third-party logistics (3PL) companies. It sits between your warehouse management system — ShipHero today — and your accounting software, turning every order, label, receipt and storage day into an accurate invoice, reconciling carrier bills against what you quoted, and showing margin by client.

Built and run inside an operating multi-client 3PL. Works with ShipHero, QuickBooks Online and UPS.

How it fits

Does Momentum replace your WMS? No — it sits above it.

ShipHero keeps running picking, packing and labels. Momentum reads that activity, adds carrier bills, floor work and your rate cards, and turns it into invoices, recoveries and margin you can act on.

What you already have

  • ShipHero
Orders, labels, inventory, POs, returns — every 15 min
  • Carrier invoices
    UPS detailed invoice files
  • Floor app
    Receiving counts, photos, tasks, time
  • Rate cards
    Per-client pricing and rules

Momentum SCM

  • Rating & draft invoices
  • Carrier reconciliation
  • Leakage monitor
  • Client profitability

Approval gates every charge and credit.

Where it goes

  • QuickBooks Online
    Approved invoices
  • Client portal
Orders, inventory, invoices at sell price
  • Finance & ops teams
    Recovery lists, margin by client

How the money is handled

Built to be trusted with invoices

Billing software has to be right before it can be fast. These rules are enforced in the engine, not left to process.

Every charge traces to an event

Each invoice line points back to the order, label, scan or storage day that created it.

Nothing bills without approval

Pending charges and credits never reach an invoice; approval locks what was billed.

Exceptions are declared, never dropped

Anything the engine can't rate is listed on the draft for a person to resolve.

AI drafts. The engine calculates.

Plain-English rules become structured config after human review; the money path never calls a model.

Clients see sell prices. You see margin.

Costs and markups are excluded from the client portal at the data layer.

FAQ

Questions 3PL operators ask us

What is Momentum SCM?

Momentum SCM is the ERP for third-party logistics (3PL) companies. It sits between your warehouse management system — ShipHero today — and your accounting software, turning every order, label, receipt and storage day into an accurate invoice, reconciling carrier bills against what you quoted, and showing margin by client.

Is Momentum an ERP for 3PLs?

Yes. Momentum is an ERP built for third-party logistics: client billing, carrier invoice reconciliation, margin by client, purchase orders, labor, inventory planning, sales quoting and a client portal, all on one set of warehouse data. It doesn't replace your WMS, which keeps running the floor, or your general ledger — approved invoices export to QuickBooks Online.

Does Momentum replace my WMS?

No. Your WMS keeps running the floor — picking, packing, labels and inventory locations. Momentum reads from it and adds what it doesn't do well: billing, carrier reconciliation, client profitability, a client portal and floor capture for non-WMS work.

Which WMS does Momentum work with?

ShipHero today. Orders and shipments sync every 5 minutes, purchase orders and pick/pack scans every 15, with inventory movements and returns on their own slower cadence. If you run another WMS, tell us which one.

Does Momentum integrate with QuickBooks?

Yes. Approved invoices export to QuickBooks Online.

Can Momentum help with the cash flow of fronting carrier bills?

Yes. Any client can be put on a prepaid balance: they fund it up front and each approved invoice draws it down, so weekly carrier bills are paid from their deposit rather than your cash. The client portal shows the balance, what has accrued against it, and how much to add. Other clients stay on invoice terms.

Who is Momentum built for?

Multi-client 3PLs serving consumer brands — DTC, wholesale and kitting — that bill from rate cards and want to know their margin by client.

Is Momentum used in production?

Yes. Momentum was built inside an operating multi-client 3PL and runs its daily billing, reconciliation, client portal and floor work today.

How is client data secured?

Role-based access for staff, finance, floor associates and clients; row-level security in the database so each brand can read only its own records; audit logging of administrative actions; and a floor app that never displays prices or margins.

How do we get started?

How is Momentum priced?
